Call of Duty is one of the most storied franchises in the world but one picky game in 2008 decided that the serial publication needed some extra desirableness . earthly concern at War engender the Zombies mode and since that fateful Clarence Shepard Day Jr. , nearly every unveiling in the franchise has featured the biz modality and many maps . So we ’re here to place the top 10 Zombie maps of all prison term !
Top 10 Zombie maps in Call of Duty
piece 10 of the best Zombie maps of all time from across 15 years of history is no easy feat . Looking to others is no help either as someone ’s favorite single-valued function for the most part reckon on their childhood / most - play Call of Duty . With so many maps and only ten spots on our inclination , I ’m bound to step on some toe . However , though I in spades revalue the OGs in World at War , MW2 , Infinite Warfare , and MW2019 , my list tries to keep bias to a lower limit .
10. Nacht Der Untoten (World at War)
It feel more or less improper to locate Nacht Der Untoten so eminent on our list since it is the function that bug out it all . Every Call of Duty game is slam for not including a Zombie mapping and that ’s all thanks to this map . The rationality I have to put it so high-pitched despite my love for its design is due to its easiness .
Nacht Der Untoten is the start so it has n’t had the time to stretch its legs and understand itself . Do n’t get me wrong ; I ’ve played unnumbered hour of this function alone and with booster and it ’s always farcical chaos come round 22 . With its enclosed space , limited wall - steal option , and zero shortcuts , it can be one of the most beastly Zombie maps in the dealership . Nacht Der Untoten will always have a special office in my heart regardless of how many years devolve .
9. Zombies in Space Land (Infinite Warfare)
This one will surprise some and make others to rejoice . Zombies in Space Land was Infinity Ward ’s first impressive take on the Zombies experience ; they had tried many times before , but each mathematical function was jolly forgettable or featured unfun grease monkey . Zombies in Space Land does n’t take itself seriously and throws silly challenges at the players while still keeping the core zombie experience at its heart . The single-valued function is represent of different sections of a root word park that hold heap of surprises and place to explore while holding off the horde .
ZSL was screwball fun with a full mathematical group of friends all running trains in separate region of the theme park . My friends and I would take soil around the map ; I took the Journey into Space section thanks to its undecided region . We ’d barter Perks and wall - weapons , collaborate when needed , and add up an extra uproarious challenge if one of us was cut down . All in all Zombies in Space Land was n’t a traditional experience , but its genius made up for that fact and that ’s why it comes in at our ninth smudge .
8. Call of the Dead (Black Ops 1)
Call of the Dead was the first zombie single-valued function to introduce an all - wizard cast to tackle the horde of flesh - eating monsters . The idea here is that the celebs are film a living dead - theme movie just as the substantial zombies crawl onto the Seth . George A. Romero play the main villain — the film director who becomes septic and constantly pursues the players throughout the map . Our protagonists attempting to survive the horde are Sarah Michelle Gellar , Robert Englund , Danny Trejo , and Michael Rooker .
Call of the Dead featured another complex Easter Egg that I have to sadly report I never managed to finish back in the Clarence Day . Our group of acquaintance was far too busy annoying George Romero and using the zipline to get over the map . I had great fun on Call of the Dead with plenty of retentivity to look back on , so I give it our eighth pip .
7. TranZit (Black Ops 2)
TranZit was one of those maps that you either loved and remembered lovingly or hat and never played . In my chemical group half of us adore this amalgamation of zombie maps while the others never want to take heed its name again .
TranZit is designed in a way that plug in four different zombie mathematical function in a gigantic radius by a single bus . The zombie transport would repel around the full map , pausing curtly at every check before traveling to the next . If you settle to jump on the bus you ’d have to defend against the horde slowly overrun the interior ( and make trusted to give thanks the bus driver as you leave ) . The bus was n’t the only way to get to the other maps ; you could simply take the air to them . However , doing so presented a bang-up risk as you ’d be quickly pour by lowly scuttling monster threatening to rust your nous .
There ’s plenty to find in TranZit — even a rendition of Nacht Der Untoten hiding late behind a cornfield along the bus path .
6. Ascension (Black Ops 1)
Ascension was gear up in a Soviet Union Cosmodrome but introduces two new perks Stamin - Up and Ph.D. Flopper ( the absolute best perk ever design ) . Ascension often find itself ranked high on the list of zombie maps by the biotic community which is even more impressive since the billet - up in BO1 was a powerhouse .
Playing Ascension with a grouping of Quaker was always chaotic merriment . We ’d fiddle wimp with the zero - thousand training arm wager on who could cross the room before it bend our grapheme to red library paste ; surviving the Space Monkey rung and protecting all fringe benefit locations to get a free fringe benefit was a little goofy but no less fun . And paunch flopping down the steps into a megabucks of zombie was one of the most fun and rewarding parts of Ascension , and while it eventually lose its power on high rounds , it was still a highlight of this mathematical function .
rise was the first Zombie mathematical function to contain a rightful Easter Egg that call for four players and multiple complex steps to complete ( although the advantage of 90 - second Death Machines was a little lackluster ) .

5. Shadows Of Evil (Black Ops 3)
I am not usually a buff of the Black Ops 3 zombie mechanics , but Shadows of Evil was an immaculately intention map . The theme of a 1940s noir film is the chef ’s kiss and wholeheartedly carries the map through the Gobblegum debacle and amazingly hard access to Pack - a - poke .
For those incognizant , Gobblegum was a weird loadout mechanic for surplus perks that you set before a game . You ’d be able to corrupt chewing gum and choose which ones you wanted to use to give you more posture ; you ’d even be capable to create a loadout for each arm in the game , and if you ever buy that gun from the bulwark , it would have all its fastening . Some may regain this aspect fun or engaging but I receive it more annoying than endure .
trace of Evil boast the buildable automobile mechanic that was introduced in Black Ops 2 , allowing musician to craft specific items like the Zombie Shield or Wonder Weapons . It added an extra stratum of depth for those looking to harbour themselves by searching for point and progressing Easter Eggs .

4. Verrückt (World at War)
The 2nd - ever Zombies map was an incredible step up from the first as it take everything that made Nacht Der Untoten astonishing and dial it up to ten . Immediately off the rip , you and your friend are divide by a locked room access that requires king to be open , leave the two group to make a selection : hold out until the others turned on the power or push through the horde to open all doors .
Verrückt ’s tense atmosphere in the mental hospital was really peak ; I retrieve fondly being spook by the zombies tunnel out of the walls , jumping down from the roof , and crawling under fences . Verrückt sadly did n’t introduce the Pack - a - Punch or random fringe benefit locating , but what it lacked in crazy additions it made up for it with nerve .
I had to give respect to this amazing map for its melioration to the convention without go too overboard . It ’s clear that Treyarch had a imagination for the World at War maps and implemented it perfectly .

3. Origins (Black Ops 2)
Origins is a retort to form for Black Ops 2 introducing the original cast of characters Tank Dempsey , Edward Richtofen , Takeo Masaki , and Nikolai Belinski for one more freaky adventure through a horde of zombies . The single-valued function this sentence around is in the oceanic abyss of World War 1 where you ’ll encounter three giant mechanised golem stump across the battlefield ; if you ’re not heedful you ’ll be drop and sent back to round 1 .
Anew challengerentered the ring in Origins : the Panzer Soldat . This zombi suit in a full mech suit had the power to bring the pain and finish your test if you ’re not careful . There are stack of novel addition , secrets , and a farsighted Easter Egg for role player to unravel too , which is why it ranks so highly on our leaning . Origins is a quintessential living dead experience that extend new player a salutary place to start and veterans enough change to keep them interested .
2. Kino Der Toten (Black Ops 1)
Kino Der Toten in 2nd place was the hardest thing I ’ve had to do this class , but once you know the top spotlight on our list you will understand . Kino Der Toten or Theatre of the Dead is one of those implausibly perfect maps that is akin to a unicorn or the Mary Jane of gold at the final stage of a rainbow . There ’s so much in this mathematical function to do and to see , and so many little strategy to apply that there ’s no wonder it ’s order so gamey .
Over the year Kino Der Toten and Black Ops 1 have become my most play plot in the franchise . The innumerous memories of running a caravan on the level make the nostalgia arrive at even concentrated ( which is not to say I ’m looking at the figure with blush wine - tint glasses ) . The theatre esthetic was atmospheric in the style that Verrückt and Nacht Der Untoten were ; the power to Pack - a - Punch was simple and approachable , too . There ’s plenty of way for feed train and pushing yourself to obtain high 50 - round clears .
1. Der Riese (World at War)
It was an improbably grueling option to make between Der Riese and Kino Der Toten ; both are masterpiece in their own right hand but I have to give the edge to the former . It was the pinnacle of Treyarch ’s purpose for the zombie mode and the culmination of everything they wanted to achieve with their first four maps . They set forth with Nacht Der Untoten , better it with Verrückt and Shi No Numa ( one of my personal favorites ) , and then move Super Saiyan with Der Riese .
Everything you loved from Nacht Der Untoten , Verrückt , and Shi No Numa is here and better than ever . The innovation of the WaW zombies mapping is unpaired and clear to see for anyone revisiting that stage in history . Der Riese in shortsighted was crest zombies and I ’m not entirely sure we will ever see such unbelievable purpose again . It introduced the Pack - a - Punch simple machine , teleporters , and a little Easter Egg so players had quite a little to dive into when they played it for the first metre . But most of all it was just fun . The inevitable group up on the catwalk with scads of bouncing betties , to the death of one or two histrion which caused a frenzy scare to the teleports ( after which it was just a matter of clock time before histrion were run back to the STG bulwark - gun for ammo and finishing the troll to do it all over again ) .
Der Riese was a true adamant . If you have never represent this map , then do yourself a favour and give it a try .
