decision decisions …
While much of the storyline in turn - based tactical RPG King Arthur : Legion IX is scripted , some key option must be made . Read on to regain out whether or not you should afford the Cursed Chest during the Tombs quest .
What happens if you open the Cursed Chest in King Arthur Legion IX?
Once you have completed the large battle in the southwestern corner of the single-valued function in The Tombs , when youtake on the Banshees , your quest is nearly over . If you follow the passageway that leaves the elbow room to the due north , you’re able to complete the mission by heading west ( to the flag on the map above ) . However , apassageway also lead eastinto a final optional room .
When you enter the room you ’ll find asarcophagus that looks like a normal loot chest . However , when you sink in it , you ’ll find awarning saying the sarcophagus is cursed . You ’re then notify not to disturb this place and can give it or leave it be . you could just leave the room and end the mission .
If youopt to open it , you will face atough but winnable battle . Whether or not you decide to face this conflict will reckon on whether you guess the loot is worthwhile , as you ’ve already earn the XP for the missionary post . If you make headway you ’ll have theFulgora Lar(there is also a corpse in the room with 21 atomic number 79 ) . Note this is the only chance to get it . It has the following stats if activate in your Lararium in Nova Roma :
A Shocked building block has 25 pct less AP , or 50 percentage less if they wear Heavy Armor ( this can be reduced by Mental Debuff Resist ) . As with all Lars , this is a judgment call but this is the best one you may get to this point in the game , soit is deserving the extra attempt . There isno cursebeyond having to fight a battle .
The Cursed Chest battle
Check your Party Formation before you begin the battle , because once it set about you ’ll havetwo well - armor melee unitsstarting rightnext to your back row(see image above ) . Both of them also have the Reanimate power , so you ’ll want to decisively make out with them before the eight units in front of you also get amply involved .
Three of the units towards the back areLost Crossbowmen , give the enemy some drift clout , while only the two Revenant units do n’t reanimate . The Lost Knightis only baffling due to its 7 Armor , plus Poison and Bleeding immunity . It also has a beggarly melee AOE .
As the Lost Knight is positioned on the right wing in a tight corridor , placeOctaviusin the front - right position of your 2 - adult male column and move him in to tank the Lost Knight . UsePlutoniusto mountain chain the two units that set on from behind , then hit them ( and the Lost Knight ) withAlbina’sFire Strikes . Gaiusshould now be able to finish them off . MoveGaviusforward and left and set up overwatch quick for the Revenants and haveFlorianustake a few notches off the Lost Knight with his canonic spear attacks .

Gaiusshould be capable to re - pop both the units that attacked from behind to stop them from quicken . GaviusandFlorianuscan take out the two Revenants and pop out to deal with the Lost Skirmisher that comes in behind them . OnceOctaviushas done as much damage as he can to the Lost Knight , Plutoniusshould be capable to finish him off .
This givesAlbinatime to cast Fire Birds , or move into melee assist with the Lost Skirmisher if you do n’t have it . This does ignore the crossbowmen , who will be doing you some damage , but I ’ve found it better to deal with the battle royal scourge first . I also prefer to dispense with any reanimation unit of measurement immediately , as you ’ll only prolong the conflict otherwise . Also , this is thelast battle of the mission , so as long as one of your units outlast you ’ll be back at camp and fully restored .
It ’s hard to say where you will be in Turn 3 due to the random nature of the Fire Birds . As long asGaiushas mow up the units that attacked from behind , move him as far as you may down the left-hand flank ( I wish to use Jumping Attack to make him more peregrine ) . UseOctaviusto land up off the Lost Knight for good ( and discontinue it from reanimating ) . If he has anything go out in the tank you may add together some terms to the last Lost Skirmisher .

Gaviuscan be sent toward the Crossbowmen to draw blast , in case you do n’t finish them off this turn , and thenAlbina , Florianus , andPlutoniuscan do as much ranged damage as potential to the Crossbowmen . The one exclusion to this should be that if you realize youcan’t take out the Crossbowmen this turn , instead focalize any ranged cause on units that would reanimate in the next turn .
If the battle stay into afourth turn , you should now simply be able to wipe up up the last Crossbowmen . call back thatyou only need to kill combat-ready unit of measurement . As shortly as you defeat the last active unit , any that are waiting to vivify will instantly be destroyed .
