Iwatodai Dorm OST is still a firecracker after all these years .

Persona 3 hold a very special stead in my heart . I play it when I was a 13 - year - honest-to-god kid who did not have any compass on what life meant ; rather , I was just a naive teenager be out his gamy school life-time like the protagonist in Persona 3 Reload , Makoto Yuki .

Fourteen years later , Persona 3 Reload go my center with its intricate write up and real - living dilemmas about friendship and sacrifices . Here ’s my full review of Persona 3 Reload .

Gameplay

Persona 3 Reload is n’t very unlike from the original secret plan . It ’s still the same classic turn - based RPG that encapsulates players from the get - go with its uncomplicated yet satisfy mechanism like All - Out and the brand young Theurgy A.K.A. Limit Breaks but Persona - fied .

Aside from the JRPG aspect of Persona 3 Reload , you ’re capable to do a plethora of activities ranging from work as a part - time employee , establishingSocial Linkswith other side characters , keep an eye on moving-picture show , going to the arcade , and everything else you ’d ask a distinctive high schoolhouse scholarly person does .

If you ’re coming into P3R from the original or portable version , you ’ll likely notice a few changes in the gameplay . I ’d have to write an entire clause to enumerate all the hunky-dory details switch ; have ’s just say that the gameplay and menstruum of the full P3R have been revamped and experience better than ever .

From the modernised UI to the removal of the " Fatigue " arrangement , Persona 3 Reload is the paradigm of a Persona game . Moreover , I ’d say this is the good version of Persona 3 I have ever played , and I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to dive into the world of Persona .

Gameplay:5/5

Story

Persona 3 ’s account , in universal , has been weak when liken to its heir , especially Persona 5 . Some of the antagonist ' motive feel out of billet , and some character miss a certain polish to their role arc .

With the new Linked Episodes feature and a few new sole cutscenes in Persona 3 Reload , the character feel more cohesive and tie down to the overall arching account of the plot . The trouble comes with the overall plot of the game , especially after you manage to decimate all full - moon phantasma . Without any mollycoddler , I ’ll just say that it ’s something participant will not expect but is tell in a very puzzling and nonsensical way .

I bed what the developers did by flesh out all characters , especially the amply - vocalise Social Links , as it adds more depth and emotion to the aspect . Then again , a certain antagonist was written so horribly that it made no sensation , and the developers should have attempt to iron out their role arcs first before proceeding with the last act of the game .

Sound Score

There ’s not much to say in term of the medicine and overall sound score . You get the classic Persona 3 euphony , which is all bangers , as expected from a Persona game . The remixes of the original music certainly add more subject matter to any activities you ’re doing , whether you ’re exploring the Tartarus or casually stroll the streets of the Iwatodai Strip Mall .

My favorite soundtrack has to be the Iwatodai Dorm , which I ordinarily act as during work sessions . As a prominent medicine eccentric , the massive betterment in the sound mixture of the OSTs made me appreciate the nicety of the trumpets , snare , and cymbal .

Speaking of the overall audio intermixture , everything seems balanced on my Sennheiser headphones , and I noticed every aspect of the sound result is sundry and balanced aright , so you wo n’t hear any overlapping details from each other .

Visuals

I ’m a sucker for visuals , and that does n’t intend everything has to be " photorealistic " as a modded Skyrim or GTA V. Persona 3 Reload comes with a cel - shaded artwork style , so you feel like you ’re playing a manga in tangible - time .

Other players may say that the game does look visually categoric compared to Persona 5 , but take the overall theme of " last " in the game , the overall visual was much easier on the eyes .

Each localization has a passel of details that truly make it pop . A few examples would be the striking visuals from the Iwatodai Strip Mall and the top executive back alley of the Port Island Station during the day . Those tiny detail give the player a lot of information on what a specific location represent without actively turn over it out .

The Tartarus also received a monumental overhaul in the visual face . Each occlusion is unique ; however , there were some arena that were really confusing to sail through , especially on the Arqa and Harabah block . The floor were n’t as clear as I would have like them to be , but fortuitously , the minimap is there to help .

Verdict: Amazing JRPG pulled down by the antagonists

If you ’re new to the Persona serial , then I suggest check out Persona 3 Reload . Although the level is not as powerfully written as Persona 5 , it still presents its case as an amazing JRPG experience . The biz does a rattling job of providing player with a good deal of dissimilar activities so you could play however you desire .

However , I feel bum out that Atlus opted to boot out The Answer arc and rather will loose it as a DLC , as it give a defining ending to the secret plan . Do n’t get me wrong , the game does have an ending , unlike Asura ’s Wrath , but it does n’t give a concrete answer to what happened to this or that reference .
