The Yakuza and Like a Dragon game are some of the most well - known beat ‘em up games , but they expand that musical style even more with steep story - recounting throughout . Like a Dragon Infinite Wealthbrought in some unique changes to the serial , and here ’s how I felt about it !
Story
Despite being a biz specifically catered toward chaotic battles and power , the Yakuza and Like a Dragon Games never run out to fork out earnest and intriguing storylines . Like a Dragon , Infinite Wealth continue that report with likable characters , each with their own agenda and personalities , and scenes that succeeded in tugging at the heartstrings .
We were given characters that we eff and love , Kasuga and Kiryu , and because of our past experience with them , their novel discovery in this secret plan made me feel for them even more . Kasuga ’s search for his long - lost female parent is endearing and inspiring , and simultaneously , you have the heartbreak of Kiryu ’s looming fate but also a sense of peaceful closure for him . You feel the ups and downs of the characters as they interact with each other and enter on their dangerous undertaking , and you get the classic Yakuza humor to soften the blow and make you smile .
One of my favorite character of the report is the forming of Modern friendly relationship and how you see the grapheme grow and alter throughout . The sense of commodore and how ' bad ' characters could still have a hazard to bend things around made the graphic symbol and the report that much more lovable .

Gameplay
The gameplay in Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth , for me , felt very smooth and modern . In the conflict , you get a combination of bit - free-base action mixed with some real - time fighting feature film to keep things interesting , but also give you a chance to be even more strategic with your moves . Moving your fictitious character around and find bonus damage in propinquity or grabbing a nearby item to use as a weapon kept the turn - establish combat from becoming too insistent .
Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth is really piling on the cognitive content in this game , giving you so many opportunities and feature to explore , especially a ton of mini - games ; you should never worry about drive bored . One of the gameplay features I find most interesting was the ' farming sim ' side chance , Dondoko Island . This essentially turned the game upside down , share a lot of similarities to games like Animal Crossing , where you accumulate materials , ramp up items , and sample to become this run - down resort into a tourist attraction once again . Although it ’s a eldritch twist in the usual Yakuza style , I found myself getting caught up in build up my island and easily spent hours doing so .
As if the farming sim was n’t enough of a change , Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth also introduced us to Sujimons . These work the same as Pokemon , allow for you to capture and utilise dissimilar fighters in battle against other Sujimon trainers and their Sujimons . This added another grade of exploration and collecting to the game , with so many different Sujimon to regain and catch , but I felt it was an unnecessary addition to an already busy game .

Another panorama of gameplay I really do it was the characters ' Personalities and Jobs . They give way your dialogue and choices more weight by implementing a system where you realise dissimilar personality traits base on those choices . you could build up up skills and ability by make Kasuga playact a certain way . This also played hand - in - hand with the Jobs . Each character can do unambiguously in battle by changing up their Job deed , giving them novel ability ; their Personality Traits and Bond to Kasuga unlock those Jobs . I had fun changing up my characters ' Job in an attempt to create a absolutely balanced squad , with proper support , healing , and damage .

Although the sound in Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth did n’t bumble me out , it always felt right for the story and chemical reaction we saw throughout . You have the usual humorous panache and zingers that are made iconic throughout the series and accurately timed fighting effects that make fighting more hearty .
The most first-class prospect of the auditory sensation in these games is the voice - acting . You get the placeable character voice in Japanese ( is there any other way to wreak ? ) that you ’ve heard throughout the series , with that anime - style feel of over - the - top dialog and exclaiming . Each character ’s spokesperson voice unique and meet to their personality , and how they state themselves made me laugh and run me into each cutscene .
In damage of euphony sound for the biz , it did n’t really stick out to me too much since many of the cutscenes are done without , and music only play in the background of peculiar fights . However , they have the option for you to collect different music playlists and caterpillar track and listen to them via your portable radio set , allowing you to listen to whatever and whenever you require . I have to say my favorite music of the game is when performing a bit of Karaoke at the stripe emplacement ( Kiryu has a helluva singing voice ) .

The graphics in Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth did feel like a step up from previous biz in the serial publication . The details of the characters , including their facial features and expression , feel more realistic , and the cutscenes were much more film - like . The locations were designed in a way that felt real and dwell , and I found myself appreciate the Hawaiian scenery from the beach to the get down - up street signs .
With a game like this , the artistry style really choose precedence over jaw - dropping graphics , which is why I would n’t expect anything too spendthrift , but I was still proud of with what we were kick in . The shining splashes of colorful and eccentric part designs made it find like the classic game while still upping the quality appropriately .
