Is Destiny 2 Ending?
Short answer , no . luck 2 isnotending with the release of The Final Shape , but itisending the Light and Dark saga , which isjustas important . The Light and Dark Saga is the story that has been ongoing since the release of Destiny 1 back in 2014 , and will formally end with the release of the foray , Salvations Edge .
For 10 years we Guardians have been fighting on behalf of The Light , a Paracausal effect of nature that has taken form in the entity jazz as ' The Traveler ' , to assist it endure against The Darkness ( another Paracausal entity ) . Their roots stretch from before the birth of the universe itself , with The Gardener and The Winnower , who were once trapped in an endless cycle of life and maturation , destruction and decomposition . The Gardener broke free of their endless game to spread the pandemonium of life and creation into the universe , only to have the Winnower follow in an endeavour to restore the logic and finality of stillness to all it gave life story to .
And of course , it would n’t be a sci - fi narrative if a bunch of stick out up little humans , automaton made by humans , and things that were once man did n’t get twist direction up in that scene ; albeit with Traveler granted space magic that let you bemuse grenades , knives and hammers at anything even remotely resembling a sentient being .
For 10 age we have awaited the mean solar day we ’d confront off against the entity play off to The Traveler , known as The Witness . And that daytime is ultimately here , which mean our terminal showdown is upon us , and what put up after that conflict is yet to be seen , but what we do roll in the hay is that it wo n’t be the end of our story .
