bot have been a part of the biz for a while , replacing any players that unplug during a couple . However , with the latest PTB update , DBD is adding bots to replace those who DC during the load screen , and players are not glad .
At first coup d’oeil , this might seem like a good idea since you do n’t have to await in a waiting line for a antechamber again , but that ’s about the only welfare . Most people on theAverageNOEDuser(love the name ) Reddit station agree that they would much rather await for another match than play with a bot .
This lineament feel more like a punishment to the people who stick in the match . I can already hazard the number of the great unwashed that will be disconnecting from a trial the moment they stretch in and see the bot names , which are easily recognizable by their generic names .
That is not to say that the bots are n’t helpful . They can be , they ’ll heal , repair gen , flashlight blind the Killer , etc . However , they will make some pretty canonic mistakes . The bot in my plot get to my help during the first chase , stop up with both of us hurt rather of only me while I tried to take up the Killer ’s time .
I was on the PTB just test out the new SurvivorLara Croftand her perks , so I did n’t really mind that much , but I would definitely beware if I started the game with two bots on the bouncy variant . This does n’t do any benefits to the Killers either , as some observe they act the plot to dog the great unwashed , not bot .

participant are also read that they would be okay with this , so long as the person who disconnects gets a grownup DC penalty . I would agree with this if I did n’t live how many time deadened by Daylight randomly disconnect players from loading cover .
Since you ca n’t tell if a musician disconnected on purpose or the game adjudicate to quetch them out , it would be pretty unfair just to penalise everyone with a bigger penalty .
Overall , it just feel like a downgrade instead of an ascent to matchmaking . Behaviour Interactive will hopefully see the displeasure of the fans and return this change after the PTB ends , or we ’re in for a DC fest once the update rolls around .
