Story
Any game that uses the word ' schmoovin ' gets an A+ for narrative in my Bible . The story ofAnother Crab ’s Treasurefollows Kril as he tries to get his case back from a ' shark ' that ’s taken it for taxation purposes . The plot slant into the silliness so much that I suspended my disbelief about the shark being a puppet on a stick and genuinely believe it was a tangible shark for a while . Never mind that all the other animals are just animals ; I was as uninitiated as Kril was .
The story is told through dialogue with Nonproliferation Center , and a circumstances of the time , it is dead sick and screaming . Other than the main write up , I apprise the fact that I could interact with just about anyone , so long as they were n’t ' infected . ' I have sex being call poor any prison term I tried to purchase shell policy from the Shellfish Greeter .

The moment I consider the best in the plot was when I break a Crystal in front of two NPCs . They comment how rude I was for doing it and that they were going to find a unlike crystal to see at . Details like that unfeignedly make a tale for me , along with the incredible number of ocean puns , of course of study . I ’ll only be say ' Oh Cod , ' from now on . Thanks , Konche .
The story is n’t just airheaded , though . While most of it is in a silly whole step , the overarching story is much deep , dealing with topics such as loneliness , applesauce pollution , ill-treatment of power , etc . I did n’t expect all of that from a plot about a Cancer fighting off enemy , but I perfectly loved it .

Visual Design
I sleep with the unique art style of Another Crab ’s Treasure , starting with Kril , who is extremely cute even as he butcher enemies with his crotch . I also love the outfits for him , which you’re able to find exploring or purchase at the Shellfish Desires stock . My personal favorite is the Intern turnout that puts Kirl in a blond annex and pink bloomers , but I also screw Mr. Kril , who is instigate by the most iconic Cancer the Crab of all , Mr. Krabs .
The foe design is also great , especially the bosses . They really await the villain part , and they absolutely match their personalities . Another one of my favourite designs is the cowboy shrimp , which has long - range weapons . It only made sense to make them cowboys .
spirit level design is also absolutely astounding . I love the fleeceable colors of Expired Grove but I also have it away the Flotsam Vale , with goop as far as your center can see . And then , as I went deeper into the sea , the aura alter and became coloured , and I was even more mesmerized . It ’s honestly all about the small details in this biz , which are most emphasized when Kril gets flash by arrows and they are still sticking out from him as you keep play . The visuals of Another Crab ’s gem are top - pass .

Gameplay
Combat and geographic expedition are at the gist of Another Crab ’s Treasure gameplay . There were so many opposition and a lot of them had specific fighting radiation diagram that you had to memorise to go against . I really enjoyed this challenge and the satisfaction of watch the gaffer go down . ( More on this below . )
When it come to exploration , the sea and all of its level are vast and overt . At some points , the game did well to guide me where exactly I ask to be . However , I did spend quite a few hours going around areas examine to figure out on the nose where to go .

For illustration , when finding the gem map objet d’art , I did the battles out of order . So I defeated Heikea first and then The Ravenous second . However , when I defeated Heikea , I did n’t get a map part . Only after I had defeated The Ravenous and went back to the village gates where I had fought Heikea ( as I had no thought what to do any longer ) did I detect the map piece on the boat . It most unquestionably was n’t there after the licking . It might have been a glitch in the game for me , but it did neutralise quite a bit of my time .

Combat
I wait amazing scrap from a soulslike game , and I absolutely got it . First , the forking that Kril fights with is a funny reference to Ariel ’s whatsis . Instead of brushing his hair , Kril is using it for the power of violence . you may only use the crotch in the secret plan ( unless you give him a heavy weapon through the accessibility menu ) .
However , that ’s where the various shells hail into play . While explore , you may encounter 69 dissimilar shell that Kril can tire ( but none are home ) . All shells do something , whether healing , attacking , or hike speed , and so on . The tooth cuticle is the exception as it ’s fundamentally a bear sand trap ( I keep walk into it because I was n’t looking and getting stuck with the most useless shell in the game ) .
Leveling up the stats at the Moon Snail Shells with Microplastics was pretty well-off . While I did advance the stats for physical and Umami skill hurt , it ’s good to put some point in Health and Shell Resistance as well .

The last bit I enjoyed is the Adaptations , which are powerful skills that you’re able to get after defeating enemies . I used the Duchess ' Royal Wave as if I were Nero from Devil May yell , but I definitely bask the Bubble bullet train ability the most . It give up me to distribute with some pesky enemy without interacting with them and breaking my shell .
The one matter I did n’t specially like was how much price the regular enemies also dealt . I could really survive a boss and then walk into a crab with a Mandrillus leucophaeus and get demolish in two second . I get that it ’s part of the experience , but when you suddenly get swarmed by enemies and killed far away from a Moon Snail Shell , it can get pretty annoying .
When I first compared this plot to Dark Souls , it did n’t seem too difficult , but it ’s the undimmed colors and the silly joke that have fool me . While some enemy could be get the hang quickly , I found myself pop off over and over and over again to others . you could make the plot a bit easier for yourself with the in - game preferences , but it ’s a challenge either way . If you need a true soulslike experience , then laborious modality is it .

Verdict
A colorful world combined with soulslike combat is n’t on the dot something you see every day , but boy , is it a nifty compounding . I ’ve delight exploring many of the beautifully design levels , even if I had to fight Roland a million multiplication to finally build up through the tarradiddle . Can I take for another Cancer dangerous undertaking ? I ’ve had too much fun on this one .
