Nobody ever reads the manual of arms …
The first thing that I realized when I open Rusty ’s Retirement was that I had no idea how to represent this game . Opening a new save Indian file was the easiest thing , and then there was just a nerveless , Stardew Valley - esque game sitting at the bottom of my screenland . With no pedagogy or introduction to the game , I just started click . After some hour though , I ’ve envision out the five things to do first in Rusty ’s Retirement to help you out .
What to do first in Rusty’s Retirement
The HELP section found under options ( the sprocket in the menu on your right , which you may open by clicking any of the tabloid ) was n’t very helpful to me as I tried to figure out where to begin and how to actually recreate the game . So , here are five things you should do first to get your farm up and go while you bask the comfort music that Rusty ’s Retirement play .
1. Plant your first crop
When you get your farm , you ’ll have three crop to choose from under the tab that looks like a strawberry mark . These are straw , radish , and cabbages . You ’ll need to start up by planting some wheat . To do that , select the straw with your mouse , glide over to the empty crop field , and click to implant it . you’re able to sink in and drag your black eye to carry through clip .
Once you ’ve engraft your first crop and earned more Spare Parts , you’re able to go on to plant Raphanus sativus longipinnatus and lettuce . You ’ll need all three to get your farm running right .
2. Dig a new crop patch
You wo n’t get very far planting one eccentric of crop at a time on your singular field , so it ’s time to vest in a newfangled craw temporary hookup . There are three sizes to choose from ( 4x4 , 3x3 , 2x2 ) , but I stick with the 4x4 craw patch because I wanted a uniform farm . You know , like most husbandry game player do .
snap on the crop patch you want to buy and move your black eye over to the area you want it . The plot will outline the edges in clean so you’re able to see where it ’s live on . If the corner are cerise , that means something is in the way and you ca n’t build your craw piece there .
Once Rusty finishes building the craw patch , set more crops !
3. Build your first bot
After getting a few crops through the author , you should have earned enough Spare Parts and Biofuel to work up your first helpful robot . get across the menu tab that looks like a household to open up the Buildings and Houses menu . There are three bot , which are found on the 2nd line : The Water Bot , Harvest Bot , and Biofuel Bot .
Each of these bots play an important character in your idle farm , allowing Rusty to relax more during his retreat . Start with the Water Bot and then make your way down the short letter purely because of the difference in price . Each one will help Rusty , so it does n’t really matter if you grease one’s palms the most expensive bot first .
4. Unlock more crops
Your farm is looking nifty and I ’m sure Rusty is revel his retirement . But , found the same three crop is ho-hum . Next on your list is the undertaking of unlocking more crop so that you do n’t have to occupy about that as your farm encourage .
You have to stumble sure targets to unlock each harvest . The fourth crop useable is a leek , which you ’ll find you unlock pretty early on on while working on your farm . I aboveboard did n’t even comment that I ’d unlocked it ( it ’s only four wheat and four radishes ) .
After leek , you may unlock carrot by having 10 radish and 18 cabbages uncommitted . Each craw in the game gives you a different amount of Biofuel and Spare Parts , so if you ’re trying to maximize the return from your husbandry crusade , make certain you ’re investing in the ones that net you the biggest return as you unlock more .

Celery take a sightly bit more oeuvre . You ’ll postulate 18 wheat , 33 radishes , and 17 leek to unlock this crop .
5. Build Haiku’s House
You have all three bots , you ’ve started unlocking crops , and Rusty ’s Retirement farm is looking pretty good . That was all the prosperous poppycock compared to what you should be focusing on next .
In the Buildings and Houses menu chit , I ’m sure you ’ve notice various house you’re able to build that have helpful features . The cheapest theatre to build in Rusty ’s Retirement is 50 Biofuel and 1000 Spare Parts . This is Haiku ’s House . Haiku helps with some of the same project that Rusty does , but not all of them . The most important thing is that Haiku can aid with edifice , which is something that none of your three smelly golem friends can do .
By this tip , you ’ll be running out of elbow room . Your starting farm in Rusty ’s Retirement is n’t vast , after all . To the remaining and right of your farm , you may have noticed area that face like a scrapyard . The first one of these on either side of your idle farm cost 6000 Spare Parts to unlock and add together special space to your farm . From there , the price increases quite dramatically , but these first two are good goals to aim for .

What are Spare Parts and Biofuel for?
BothSpare Partsand Biofuel routine as currentness in Rusty ’s Retirement . They are a by - product of you producing crops and place them into the Biofuel generator . You ’ll get less Biofuel , but it ’s worth more than Spare Parts . You wo n’t be able to plant crops , progress houses , or do much of anything without having these two items . Similarly , you ca n’t get Biofuel and Spare Parts without consume crops .
you’re able to expend the convertor in the carte to convert excess Biofuel into Spare Parts . This is useful because you ’ll systematically earn Biofuel once you have three different crop to put in the source , and thing that you could unlock be less Biofuel than Spare Parts .
Now that you sympathise more about Rusty ’s Retirement , delight having a cute idle husbandry game at the bottom or the side of your screen while you form on something else . It ’ll pretty much see after itself , you just necessitate to add up back and plant more crops or build up new matter every now and then .
